Mission Analysis and System Engineering

We are experienced with understanding the customer’s need.  Methods are used that allow the team to experience the mission from the customer's point of view.  ES&T’s system engineering approaches break down complex systems into the simpler components.  The customer and engineers are able to trace the performance of the components to understand the performance of the mission.   Mastering the user's overall experience is the key to creating a successful product.

Mechanical Engineering

ES&T’s mechanical engineering staff is experienced in mechanical assembly and component design.  Solid-modeling and rapid-prototyping are used for performing state-of-the art mechanical engineering.  A wide range of engineering materials are used in our designs including plastics, composites, steel, and aluminum.  Experience spans large gasoline/diesel engine vehicles to small electrical vehicles.  Hydraulics and electrical systems have been used for power in our vehicles.

Electrical Engineering

ES&T’s electrical engineering staff is experienced in analog and digital electronics.  Both custom and off-the-shelf electronics designs are used to rapidly meet the requirements of systems deployed in the user’s environments.  The electrical engineering staff is experienced in designs using microcontrollers and power electronics for vehicles.

Software Engineering

ES&T’s software engineering staff is experienced in low-level embedded code and high level GUI development.  Experience ranges from low-level microcontrollers for motors and sensors to high-level Windows DirectX and Linux programming.  Proficiency includes C, C++, Java, and scripting languages.

Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Support, and Test

ES&T’s engineers focus on products that work in the real world.  The developers are experienced with the important factors for success including managing configurations, supply chain management, and quality management.  ES&T has strong relationships with contract manufacturers that are brought in early into the product development process.  ES&T uses the established expertise of our contract manufacturers for producing designs that are manufacturable, supportable, and testable.
